Please Help "We Stamp For Lara"

Hi Everyone,

Once again the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator world is showing how generous and helpful they are! If you would like to help out Madonna Dunn's daughter Lara, please keep reading!

You can read all about Lara here.

And to join in, please visit either Madonna's blog or Alisa Tilsner's blog. It's such a great cause, I really hope the necessary funds can and will be raised for Lara and the equipment she needs.

One of Makeesha's Challenges

Hi Everyone,

Yep, I've been at it again, another Kimono Kids card to share with you.

This time, I took my inspiration from Makeesha's Challenge #45 which you can see here.

I've taken the sketch and flipped it 180degrees to make this card:

My apologies the photo is not the best - the weather is being a little crazy and it's been cold and windy today with just a hint of rain. So I took this inside near a window, but it's just not the same.....

Ah well, to brighten this semi-wintery day, I have received some Stampin' Up! goodies including some shimmer paint (ooooo very nice) and the new In-Color pack. The new pack contains all the new inkpads and an assorted cardstock pack for just $56.95 so its a bargain buy!

Soft and pastel with Just Add Ink's 40th Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Last night I found some cardmaking mojo and managed to make a few cards I'll show over the next few days....

Each card is for a different challenge and that's why I'm going to space them out.

So this card for the the Just Add Ink Challenge #40 - I can't believe they are up to #40 already!!

We needed to use these colours:

And this is my card:

I've used one of the girl images from "Kimono Kids" and I have to confess my 'Pear Pizzazz' card is still on order so I have substituted with 'Certainly Celery'.

Please let me know what you think and if you would like to join in the challenge, you have until midnite  Wednesday (but remember that's Eastern time + daylight savings, so if you are in Perth, you have until 9pm tomorrow night).

Floral Fusion Flower Pot

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've been a little bit lazy with the blogging lately, but I do have something new to show you...

I've recently bought the Floral Fusion Sizzlit Die for my Big Shot and wow, what an easy way to cut out flowers - 3 different sizes in 1 go!

So this is my first attempt using the flowers - I've tried a technique called "inset embossing".

And this is my 2nd card, a cute little flower pot:

The flower pot was simply a scrap of real red card cut to the size I needed and a rectangle cut to make the 'lip' of the flower pot. The flowers each have rhinestone brad inserted (by using the crop-a-dile, I could punch the hole in all 4 layers of the flower) and then it's able to hold my flower together.

And isn't the little skinny ribbon cute - this is one of the NEW ribbons available in the 2010-11 Idea Book. I'm sure I'll use a lot of this in projects to come!

JAI #38 - Second Entry

Hi All,

I hope you didn't fall off your chair to see me with another post so quickly.... lol :)

Anyway, I saw Gardenia Pepworth's cheeky card the other day and she challenged me (via facebook) to make one too... Make sure you pop by her blog sometime - there's loads of inspiration there!

So here's my attempt:

And seeing as its matched the "add pink and bling" criteria, I've entered it into the Just Add Ink Wk #38 Challenge

Right, that's it from me today :)

JAI #38 - Just add pink & bling

Hi All,

Today is the last day to enter the Just Add Ink Week 38 Challenge where the challenge is to add pink and bling.

I borrowed Andrea's stamp set Flower Fancy after our team training day and this is one of the cards I made:

I've combined some retired rose red ribbon, a filigree flower brad and a small clear rhinestone brad to add a little extra to my card. The large flower is raised up on a couple of dimensionals.

I've cased the layout from an old Stampin' Up! idea book - I should refer back to it more as I was all inspired to make another card with the same layout but different colours:

Quick and Easy Birthday Invites

Hi All,

My eldest daughter turned 4 earlier this month, and of course we had to celebrate even if it was a small scale and just family and a couple of her friends.

This is the invite I made - super quick and easy but I think it's still cute!

Of course, the real thing didn't have those big black rectangles, that's got our home address and phone number on it. I just didn't want that being out in blogland :)

The base is Pink Passion card stock (now retired) and the lighter colour is Pink Pirouette. I've used the "Retro Remix" Wheel across the bottom of each with a strip of Pink Passion card. All the text has been printed from the computer. Not bad hey?

Stamp and Stack October Results

Hi Everyone,

Last night I held my monthly Stamp and Stack class. These are the 3 designs and everyone made 3 of each card.

The photos aren't superb as everytime I went to take a photo today, a gust of wind would come and blow the cards over. Thank heavens for digital photography, otherwise I would have wasted a lot of film!

If you are interested in joining my Stamp and Stack November, please join my facebook group to receive your personal invitation or email me.

My ESAD Challenge & JAI #37

Hi Everyone,

Back with another post today...

This one I've made whilst the girls were having their afternoon sleeps. It fits the criteria for the sketch challenge I have set this week on ESAD and the colours are from the Just Add Ink Challenge Wk 37.

Here's the sketch:

Here's the colour challenge:

And here's my card:

The sentiment reads "When we are with our hearts, every moments is the most wonderful gift in the world". Both stamps are from the Every Moment Stamp set, which is a newbie in the 2010 catalogue for just $31.95 (it was also our gift at Regionals early last month).

You can follow the links above to each of the sites for the challenges or add your entry here as I will be picking a winner from the ESAD entries and the entries on my site too.

To enter here, please leave your bloglink in the comments below - I was going to add a linky tool but none are working properly for me today!

Another kiddies card...

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post to show another kiddies card I've made...

I've coloured my white grosgrain ribbon with the pink pirouette inkpad - its such a simple way to get any colour ribbon you need to match your card!

And did you notice the handmade background? I've simply stamped the giraffe a couple of times at varying heights across a 2inch strip of card

Be back with more creations this week... and there's a couple of places still available for my Stamp-a-Stack class on Friday night, just email me for all the details or join my facebook group.

Card Recipe:
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette & Whisper White
Ink: Pink Pirouette
