Special Order for a Friend

Hi Everyone,

Wow! Time is simply flying at the moment - the kids and hubby are on hols and even though the girls are only 2.5 and 4yrs old, holidays is making a big difference to our day to day lives. Normally we would have been doing kindy runs and a morning at playgroup, but none of that this week!

Now you'd think that would give me a lot of extra time for stamping but it's not! :(
Hubby is also home so we're supposedly doing extra jobs around the house that we don't always get done - extra gardening and I started to put up the new trampoline but messed it up a bit (ooops we won't go into that now!!) However, in reality, not much is actually being done, we've all fallen into the afternoon siesta pattern a little too easily especially in this real dose of summer we are having here in Perth!

Anyway, I thought I'd show you a special order box for one of my longtime friend's to give as a birthday present. There's a co-ordinating card too!!

Ok, enough from me, I'm attempting to get the kids into bed early to enjoy some time by myself as my hubby has gone out fishing tonight. Fingers crosssed I can do some stamping!

New Year Calendars

Hi Everyone,

I hope you've been enjoying the Christmas break!

Today I've got some Easel-style Calendars to show you. These were inspired by Kim Hanby, an Aussie Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I've met online, however I can't find a blog link - I've been chatting with her over one of my demonstrator groups :)

Anyway, here's a pic of the first 2 I've made:
This design is very similar to a card I made - Love regal rose, so saffron & whisper white!

I've been practicising my heat embossing with the lovely "Upsy Daisy" Stamp

Well, stay cool if you are in WA - Summer has hit us with a bang for Christmas hasn't it!! All I can say, is thank goodness for air-con!

Last minute Christmas Cards..

Hi All,

Are you ready for Christmas? Only a couple of sleeps left and I realised yesterday I was about 20 cards short after spending the night before writing loads of cards... So last night I cased a demonstrator friend, Nicki Turner, and made this card....

I just love the crisp and fresh look of whisper white and wild wasabi together! So I added a little retired stitched ribbon and voila! I used my new "Square Lattice" embossing folder and the "Delightful Decorations" stamp set.

I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

My hubby has some time off work next week so we are hoping do to a few things around the house (if it's not too hot - forecasted temps of over 36degrees every day at this stage!), so I'm also hoping for some crafting time - there's a mountain of sewing and stamping I would like to do!

Some cyberspace thank you's! (better late than never isn't it) & My ESAD SS gifts from Aug - Oct

Hi All,

I'm back!! Don't fall over with 2 posts in 1 night from me after I've been sooo slack lately! Tonight's extra post is because I've been flicking back through my blog and realised that there's a few entries that didn't get posted for whatever reason.... So I'm going to combine a stack of things in this post and try to keep it short as I can...

First off is some thank you's!! Here's goes:
  1. Shirley McAvoy - thank you for you delightful gifttags I received some time ago in the mail! What a lovely ESAD RAK (random act of kindness)

   2.    Lee-Anne Barry sent me a Best Blog Friends Forever Award and I am yet to forward it on to blogs I stalk read. It was started by the lovely Andrea Lowcock.

    3.    To Amanda Reddicliffe, thank you for the rhinestone jewel and pearls I won as part of your blog candy! I'm sure they will be a fav as soon as I get some decent time to myself to do some stamping!

    4.    Thank you to the ultra-sweet Tanya Kitto (a SU! Demo friend) who answered my question about where to find some lovely carols to download by sending me 3cd's full of carols! What a gem! There's nothing like great carols to put you in the festive spirit! {I'll have to update Tanya's blog link at a later stage as I can't find it right now :( }

Ok, onto some old stamping creations..... You may remember, I took part in a 2nd round of the ESAD Secret Sisters from August to October, and during my reminiscing I realised I hadn't posted any of what I made and sent off to my Secret Sister, Kerri... Here's a couple of snaps of some of the things I made for her.

Showcasing the new shimmer paint, scallop trim border punch, new thin whisper white ribbon, and the new Concord Crush cardstock (dark purple colour)

Notecard organiser - Made from designer series paper, the organiser is divided into sections inside  to store your notecards
(silly me seems to have forgotten to take a pic of this part)

Here's the notecards:

Can you see a fav design of mine? Just different colours to a card we did at this Stamp and Stack Class

This pouch was filled with some yummy choccies!

Of course this is only some of what I sent, I think I must have forgotten to photograph some of it or didn't want to make you drool over your computer too much with pics of chocolate and stamps etc that I sent to Kerri. But then again, maybe I lost some of the pics when I had that computer drama a few months ago and purchased a new computer....

Ok, that wasn't too long was it? I made the pics a little smaller than usual but you can click on them to see a larger version if needed.

Stamp and Stack December - The Results

Hi Everyone,

Last Friday night was my final Stamp and Stack class for 2010. I would to thank everyone who has been coming to my classes and making them such a fun time!

Here's some pics of what we made:

Card #1:
I love this Dasher Stamp
(one of the a la carte range and it's only $14.95)

Here's a close up of the self adhesive rhinestone jewels

This card used the retired stamp set "Merry Mini's".

A close up of the added detail with the faux suede ribbon folded 3 times and 'held' in place with a self adhesive pearl.

We made 2 of these boxes, all the papers were from the Jolly Holiday paper pack. I found the instructions for this acetate box on Splitcoast Stampers. Then of course, we needed something to fill up our little boxes, and that's where some jumbo sized boxes of Cadbury Favorites came in super handy (we had to sample some too on the night but you didn't hear that from me!)

All the colours are based on the Jolly Holiday Designer Series paper, so we have Old Olive, Riding Hood Red (as I don't have any Cherry Cobbler yet) & Very Vanilla.

If you have any questions, please ask! I'm only too happy to help out! :)

And I have some exciting news:
1)I will be having my 2nd ever craft stall at The Glades Markets in Byford, WA on Sat 18th Dec. Make sure you say hello if you are there!!
2) Due to the success of my Stamp and Stack Classes during 2010, I will be continuing them throughout 2011. So pencil Friday 14th Jan in your diary and I'll provide the details soon.

Stamping with Charlotte

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I had an assistant with my stamping - Miss 4 (Charlotte) helped me to make some gifts to give to her kindy friends...

This is what we made:

Miss 4 did the stamping and glueing, I punched out the shapes (scallop circles, 1 1/4" inch & 1 3/8" circles) and helped with lining the circles... We then just a bit of good old sticky tape to adhere the tags to the candy canes. I also wrote each child's name on the back of each scallop circle. The kids are only 4, they want the lollies and aren't going to be too worried about the packaging!

Each of cake hey! Well piece of candy cane actually :)
