Last of my pre-coloured Robots

Hi All,

Today's card is the last one made with a group of robots I coloured about a fortnight ago... And this is a super quick post as Miss 2.5 is off for her first day at 3yo Kindy :P

Bit of a different layout for me, I'm not sure if I've used the top note die like this before, but I do like the result.

Stampin' Royalty with Lots of Bots x2

Hi Again,

Wow, my time between this post and the last was even shorter than I expected!! Here's another 2 cards I created yesterday using the Stampin' Royalty #56 Challenge

Still not 100% happy with this card but sometimes that happens I guess!

Clean and simple but I love this one! :)
Well, off to take more advantage of my girls being asleep, whilst I was out stamping yesterday, they spent a very busy day with Nan, so they are soooo tuckered out! Still, it's perfect weather for a snooze as it's threatening thunderstorms outside and that with 38degrees C means it's way to hot to play out there! Nice shower of rain would be great! My lawn and gardens need a drink!!

By the way, you can blame Gardenia for my new challenge site! Be warned, expect more of the Stampin' Royalty challenges in the future cos I've been admiring them for a while and have now taken the plunge!!

Stampin' Royalty Challenge #56

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I had a fantabulous day stamping and catching up with some friends, Lee-Anne, Andrea, Courtney and Chris. Whilst we were supposed to be making a super early start on our Christmas cards, it didn't really happen for me.

Instead, I played with the Stampin' Royalty Challenge #56 and this is one of the cards I came up with.... Oh, and I think this is FIRST time I've ever entered a Stampin' Royalty Challenge!! YAY ME!! ;)

Stamp Sets Used: Always & Lvl 3 Hostess 'Playful Pieces'; Beads and Ribbon from my stash

I turned the sketch sideways to make this one.... Couple more cards coming soon, I just have to finish them off (I didn't take any embellishments & bling yesterday as I was trying to travel light!).. So hopefully (and kid willing) I'll be back later this arvo.

Clean and Simple 123

Hi Everyone,

Phew!!! It's taken a while but I'm back with a Clean and Simple Card for Challenge #123.

This is the sketch -

And this is my card -

The koala is totally cased from fellow demonstrator Pat Carr, who showed us this cute lil' critter way back at Regional training in September last year.

Isn't she cutie!

A Robot... and it's Pink!

Hi Everyone,

Today I've pieced together a monochrome card for the Just Add Ink's challenge this week....

As Miss 2 stated "Robot" and knew what colour "Pink" when she saw the card, I think I managed to fit the theme. Ahh yes, monosyllables too, it's like her own version JAI's theme lol :)

So here's my card:

Short and simply post from me today... I've got another card to show you, so hopefully (children willing) I will be back later today to show you :)

An inkling of a little mojo this evening...

Hi Everyone,

Remember this afternoon, I posted this card for the Inkspiration Challenge and I said I thought I was lacking some mojo today... Well a little mojo came tonight to visit and I tried the colour challenge again....

I'm a lot happier with this use of the riding hood red, baja breeze, peach parfait & whisper white combination and as a direct result - I made a seet of 4 cards!! Woohoo go me :)

And here's a peek at each card individually:

I'm going to donate these cards to The Glades Moonlight Markets for their raffle to raise funds for the flood victims in QLD.

And I'm also going to donate this Simply Sent Card Making Kit to the Harvest Lakes Community Fun Day for Flood Relief on Sat 5th Feb in Atwell. Please do what you can to help them out :)

Inkspirations Challenge #52

Hi Everyone,

I'm really lacking some mojo today... It's taken me an hour to make this card in amongst helping Miss 4 with her stamping. I think I have a recruit in the making here - or at the very least an assistant for my classes ~ her enthusiasm and mass stamping efforts have been quite impressive this arvo lol!!

My card today is for the Inkspirations Challenge #52, where we needed to use these colours:

This is my card:

Sentiment:
"When we see with our hearts, every moment is the most wonderful gift in the world"

I coloured some whisper white grosgrain ribbon with a sponge and my baja breeze ink pad.

Let me know what you think anyway... I'm undecided on it! :P

Materials Used:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red
Ink: Baja Breeze, Black Staz-on
Aqua Pen
Whisper white ribbon
Sponge
Pearls
Dimensionals
Hostess Rewards Designer Series Paper Pack - Peach Parfait

I made 1 card, so why not 4?

Hi Everyone,

Ever have one of those days when you know what colours you'd like to use for a card but can't decide whether you like the first version or not....

Well, that was me when I was creating this card for a friend's 30th b'day...

So here's 4 cards that are all similar but different :)

Inked embossing of the Manhattan Flower. Sentiment from Upsy Daisy

Sentiment from Upsy Daisy. Large Oval & Scalloped Oval Punches

Already given to a friend yesterday - hope she likes it!
Inked embossing of the Manhattan Flower. Sentiment from Whimsical Words (retired)

Melon Mambo on Whisper White. Sentiment from Whimsical Words (retired)

So there you are, one card gone, 3 more for my stash and to start my goal of sending out more b'day cards to friends and family this year! And hopefully selling some too! :)

I can't take all the credit for the design of these cards, I was reminded of the layout idea by Kris McIntosh and remembered I did this technique what seems like a really long time ago here.

ps: the colours are: Whisper White, Melon Mambo & Basic Black

Back to show off my new diary

Hi All,

I'm back to show off my new diary for 2011. I hope to fill it with lots of workshops and class dates throughout the year!

I'm also going to use it to record any challenges I want to join in throughout the year - it's going to be all stamping and card related entries in this diary! lol :)

Stylish Blogger Award

Hi Everyone,

I have been awarded the Stylish Blogger Award by the lovely and super talented Gardenia Pepworth! It means a lot to me as I really, really admire Gardenia's work and love our little online chats!!

Now the idea of this award is to:
  • Thank the person that sent it to me
  • Tell you 8 things about myself
  • And lastly nominate 8 other stylish bloggers and let them know about the award.
So, I done the first step, now onto the rest... 8 things about myself...
1. I'm going to challenge myself again this year to learn more new techniques and participate in more card making challenges this year!
2. Wonders how my 4 and 2 year old girls can be so bossy!
3. I really want to build up my Stampin' Up! business this year, with more classes/workshops and maybe more craft fairs/markets
4. Malteasers are my all time fav chocolate!
5. Has a bit of a fetish for new stationery items!
6. Has watched all 3 Tinkerbell movies several times since my girls received them for Christmas - Love the way the fairies are 'born'!!
7. Would love to be able to 'tinker' like Tinkerbell! Might make the housework a bit more fun :P
8. I'm going to use my diary more this year to remember things! I even decorated one which I'll show you soon!!

Ok, now I need to pass the award onto some other bloggers: (this is a bit tricky!!)
1. Firstly, I'm sending it back to Gardenia - because I really want you to check out her work!
2. Amanda Reddicliffe is another super talented WA Stampin' Up! demo, who co-hosts the Just Add Ink Challenges
3. Andrea Lowcock because and I luv her work and she's always leaving comments for me on ESAD
4. Another ESAD and facebook buddy Tanya Kitto
5. Sherylee Tutt, I just discovered this one today!
6. Fiona Platzer
7. Susan Joyce
8. Clare McIlhatton

Phew, that took me a while! I think some ppl on this list may have already received the award, but I tried to pick some newbies!! :)

JAI # 49 - Just Add Summer

Hi Everyone,

I'm a day late with this post, but that's the thing about holidays - you get distracted and lose track of what day it is!

I've been playing around with some punch art characters yesterday and late into last night (in between dealing with a rush trip the our local after hours GP with Miss 4 (who has an ear infection for the first time EVER!)) and this is one card I made with the Just Add Ink #47 Challenge to Just Add Summer.

Of course, by the time I'd actually finished it, the challenge had closed :(

By the way, this is in no way a punch art self portrait... Well, maybe if you squint and pretend she's dancing it may be...I love to dance and summer time is always full of parties!! I just wish I could get out to more, but that's not my role at the moment as a mum!! Oh, and I don't have red hair either! :P

Finally a card...

Hi Everyone,

As promised I'm back today with a card to show you, I'm on a new years resolution to use up some more scraps of paper and card, and some of the many stamped images I have lying around :)

I coloured this flower yesterday with my Riding Hood Red, Barely Banana (retired) and Wild Wasabi Inkpads. Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

The black 'stitching' has been paper pierced and then drawn on freehand with my Black Stampin' Write Markers.

And I just love my antique brad pinning down a little bit of white ribbon!!

Welcome back internet!

Hi Everyone,

What a strange week it's been with no real internet - someone downloaded a Christmas movie to watch with her family which kinda maybe meant that by 3/4's of the way through Dec our internet speed was reduced! Whoopsies!! And the most annoying thing about that - no-one in our house would even watch it with me! What's wrong with "A muppets christmas carol"??

Ah well, not to worry.... between slow internet and dodgy facebook issues (dunno what was happening there!) you'd think I would have had plenty of time for some stamping.... Not so, I'm not quite sure where the week went between Christmas and NY, but I do know it has been pretty warm and the siesta thing is still happening up to today for 2 members of our house. Miss 4 and I just pottered around watching Monsters Inc and then some colouring in (miss 4 was colouring in a winnie the pooh colouring book and I made 1 card and coloured 1 other image with my blender pen and inkpads). Miss 2 and dear hubby were fast asleep!

Hopefully, I'll be able to take a pic tomorrow of my new card and have a chance to finish the 2nd card too!!

Ok, so my rambling explain my absence of late? I promise I will jump back into my card making and blogging very soon and have some exciting and new things to show you!!

And by the way, if you would like to add any new things to your Stampin' Up! Collection, I am taking bookings for workshops during Sale-a-bration which starts 25th Jan-31st March. Please contact me if you are interested.

Here's a quick summary of the rewards chart - but during Sale-a-bration you get an extra FREE stamp set for every $100 spent or if your workshop is over $600 in sales.
