Lately there's "Lots of Bots"

Hi Everyone,

Today I thought I'd share some of the recent cards I've been making:

I've used the retired "Lots of Bots" stamp set but you could easily use these layouts for many other stamps.

The rick rack on this one is a cool felt one I found in my stash :)

These cards and many more will be available at the Roleystone Markets this Sunday!

And stay tuned for my belated Stampin' Up! b'day celebrations coming up this wkend!!!

January Class

Hi Everyone,

It's a bit later, but here's what we made at the January class, I was experimenting with the re-inkers, the shaving cream technique and some punch art...

We also made one of these with the yellow and green swapped around

And we made the reverse of these colours too! It's an easy way to build up your card stash, use the same design but just make them a little bit different.

and then added in 2 blokey cards to show another way of making your own background papers:

And for my private class, I forgot to take along the co-ordinating re-inkers... Luckily a few drops of food colouring came to the rescue - PHEW!! Up close I can tell the difference as the colours of the 'paper' don't match the card stock as well but it still passes.

You can find out more about the shaving cream technique here and whilst it's a bit messy, it's good fun! I loved this monkey so much he also made an appearance at the last kids' class!

My next class is Friday night, so I should be able to share what we make early next weekend, or maybe even over the wkend.

Facebook & Colour Combinations

Hi Everyone,

Today I put the challenge out to my facebook followers to set a colour challenge and I would make a card with their suggestions.

These are the 3 cards I made:

From Nicole: To use Melon Mambo & Island Indigo.
I made the star from the pennant punch, added a couple of scalloped circles and 1 plain circle with the "Happy Birthday" from my new "Essentials" stamp set. This idea was cased from pinterest and you can find the original here.

From Kelli: To use Tangerine Tango & Rich Razzleberry,
lucky for me I had some of the new Sale-a-bration papers which have these colours! And I was able to use my new mini butterfly punch.

From Emma: To use Riding Hood Red, Pool Party and Crumb Cake.
I also used my new pinwheel  die that arrived over a week ago and some white brads from the neutrals pack.

I had great fun checking back into facebook and seeing what the new challenges were and I even managed to whip up a few other cards that I'll show you in the coming days.... Plus the cards from my last class in January....

Next week I'll post the challenge again, so if you would like to send me one, keep an eye out on my facebook page.

Stamping Journals/ technique books

Hi Everyone,

Today I thought I'd share the Stamping Journals I have made for some of the ladies I teach in a private class. I used the Floral District Digital Collection disc to design each cover and I was pretty happy with the results.

Each cover is only 2 layers, one the design with the embellishment and writing, and the 2nd layer is a complimentary piece of coloured cardstock.

We are going to use these to keep track of any new techniques I teach them and also any ideas that we may have in between classes.

Can you tell I really enjoy dressing up notebooks? If you would like one, please let me know.

Using up some of my stash!

Hi Everyone,

Last week I found some die cut flowers that I'd bought some time ago... Now these were retired before the Big Shot arrived so that's a good couple of years ago now.

Anyway, I whipped up these quick cards with my 2 assistants, Miss 6 and Miss 4 lending a helping hand.

I've decided to package them as shown in sets for something a bit different for my market stalls.

And speaking of market stalls, I'm at a new one in a few weeks, The Slammers Relay for Life, proceeds are going to the Cancer Council of WA which is a great cause. You can find more info on their facebook page here or check out the flyer below.
