Bears on the brain today!

Hi Everyone,

Today on our ESAD group, some crazy lady aka me! set a challenge to make a card using Alaskan animals as our inspiration.... The reason for Alaska? Well that's the destination of the next Stampin' Up! Incentive trip!

Well, here's what I came up with:

Below is the punch art idea is from pinterest, but I'm not sure who the original person was and all the links I tried bounced around to different people. (If you are publishing any of your work online, this is where watermarking your photos is handy so any work can be referenced back to you!)

And then because I was thinking of bears and also wanting to join in a challenge today, I dug out the very old My Favorite Teddy stamp set and made these 2 cards...

The layouts for the card were inspired by page 114 of the 2017-18 Idea Book, it's actually a Christmas card layout! I hope this also meets the criteria for the CASEing the Catalogue challenge #CTC138 as I'm going to enter it there!

My Crafty Kids

Hi Everyone,

Over the school holidays, my kids and I got a bit crafty and made some cards.... On one day we actually had 4 generations stamping and crafting togther as my mum, sister, niece and nana all came over.

This is my proud mumy brag time as my girls made these cards by themselves - I didn't have anything to do with the layouts, just helped with some of the punching or trimming (mainly to reduce any wastage, they both love my Stampin' Up! trimmer and can easily use it).

What do you think? I'm a bit biased, but I'm proud of their work.

July School Holiday Class

Hi Everyone,

Last week, I held a kids' card making class and this is what we made:

Puppy punch art - Circle punches, scalloped oval (retired), oval (retired), heart (retired)

I didn't get photos of all the cards the kids made of the second card, I've only got my sample but the kids were able to choose a different colour for the Happy Birthday sentiment and the stars, everyone kept the layout the same (although I did notice some punched some extra stars and adhere them inside their card.

Happy Birthday Thinlit, Star punch (retired)
We also tested some double sided adhesive paper, and whilst it was thick to run through big shot , it was fantastic having the adhesive already on the back of the sentiment once it was diecut!

ESAD Blog Hop - 2017-17 Catalogue Favourites

No automatic alt text available.

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to an ESAD Blog Hop - this time it's based on our favourites from the newly released 2017-18 Idea Book and Catalogue. If you are already on the hop, you will have just seen Megan's creations! And if you are just joining the hop, there's 25 Aussie and New Zealand Stampin' Up! demonstrators showing you their new catalogue favourties!

I have a few favourites, and quite a long wishlist, but I did manage to narrow it down to create these cards for you today.

So starting with my favourite stamp set - Fairy Celebration:

Cardstock & Markers used: Whisper White (standand and thick), Garden Green, Pink Pirouette & Wisteria Wonder.
Ink: Black Archival Ink

For my next card, I remembered a technique called Inset Embossing... You punch out some shapes, in this case, 1" & 1/2"circles, glue them onto your base, let it dry and then run through the Big Shot with your choice of embossing folders (this one is called Softly Falling).

Cardstock & Markers: Whisper White (standard and thick), Wisteria Wonder & Elegant Eggplant

Then this card, I used the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die and the same technique for the background. I used the Balloon Punch and the Seaside embossing folder.

Notice the new In Colors, they are Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist and Powder Pink - I totally loved these new colours as soon as I saw them!

And just in case you are wondering, this is what ESAD is all about:

Now it's time to continue the hop, off to Carly's Blog.

Fairy Latch Cards

Hi Everyone,

A quick play with my Fairy Celebrations stamp set and some leftover kits from a class resulted in these cards:

This was a leftover Christmas card! Although I did add a doily:

A short and basic post from me today, I need to take full advantage of having the house to myself for a few hours as it's smack bang in the middle of our school holidays!

Thanks for looking,
Richelle
